Right of withdrawal and refunds

In effect from 3 June 2026

1. General

These terms describe the right of withdrawal and the procedure for refunding the participation fee when signing up for drift training and events organised by the association «Iespēju Sabiedrība».

2. Right of withdrawal

Under the Consumer Rights Protection Law, a consumer generally has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. This right is subject to the exception described below.

3. Exception — events with a specific date

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for leisure services if the service is provided on a specific date or within a specific period. Drift training sessions and visits take place on a specific, previously announced date and time, so the 14-day right of withdrawal generally does not apply to a participation application.

4. Non-refundable payments

In view of the above, if a participant withdraws from participation, does not show up for the event or changes their decision, payments already made are not refunded. This applies to:

  • Membership fees (the joining fee and the membership fee);
  • The participation fee for drift training (participation with a car);
  • Visitor and spectator tickets.

The exception is the case where the event is cancelled by the organiser (see point 7).

5. Transferring participation

If you cannot attend the event you signed up for, please inform us as soon as possible at biedriba@driftaskola.lv. By mutual agreement, participation can be transferred to another available date; in such a case the participation fee already paid is not refunded but is credited toward participation on the new date.

6. Member status condition

Member status is verified manually. If a person who applied at the member price does not hold member status, the participation will not be registered, and the 30 EUR paid will not be refunded but will be kept as an administration fee.

7. Cancellation of the event by the organiser

If the association cancels an event, the participant may choose to transfer their participation to another available date or receive a full refund of the participation fee.

8. Refund procedure

If a refund is due (for example, if the event is cancelled by the organiser), the approved refund is made to the same payment method used for the original payment, no later than 14 days from the approval of the refund. The refund does not include the payment service provider's commissions, if any apply.

9. Contacts

Send refund or cancellation requests to biedriba@driftaskola.lv, stating your application details (name, email and the event date).
